Ingredients: 2 Cup(s) Japanese short grain or sushi rice 2 Cup(s) Water 2 Tablespoon(s) Rice Vinegar 1 Tablespoon(s) Sugar |
Directions:
Wash Rice.
Put rice and water in pan together. Bring to boil and then simmer 15 minutes.
Let rice stand covered 5 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile mix rice and vinegar together. Heat in micro wave for about 30 seconds so that the sugar dissolves easily.
Pour the sweetened vinegar mixture into the rice and stir it in thoroughly.
Allow to cool to room temperature before making sushi rolls. You can throw it into the refrigerator or freezer to speed up the cooling, but you don't want it cold, just cool.
